I dunno how many ppl got impacted, but ANY SHIPPING done with DHL gets TAXED and CUSTOM TAXED more than 100% of the product's value
This happens when shipping to India.
Now what is happening is with DHL box labelled 10 Euros, DHL is asking for Payment Receipt Proof !!! Box says 10 euros but payment is about 100 USD.
And now, Customs office is CHARGING PENALTY + CUSTOMS + LOCAL TAXES !!!!
There is a rule in India that allows for sportspersons to import sports equipment and replacement items. Only EMS honors this. Else all private shipping is treated as if we are unauthorized private importers resellers.
